Boontiva Truong-Quang

In 1995, after an impromptu trip toIndia, Boontiva discovered Yoga, stayed at the Yoga Institute in Mumbai and became a Certified Yoga Instructor.The Yoga Institute system is the oldest in India tracing its roots as far back as 3,000 to 4,000 years ago. Currently, there are only three other instructors from the Yoga Institute teaching in the United States.

With more than 600 hours of formal training, Boontiva founded Optimum Health School of Yoga in Elgin with a mission to spread the message of good health, peace of mind, moral strength and spiritual enlightenment through Yoga.

Boontiva has instructed students in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, France England, Japan, Morocco, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Teresa Donoho – Speranza RN, 250 hr CYT

Teresa is a 250-hour certified yoga instructor, registered nurse and wellness coach. She graduated from Lewis University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. As a registered nurse Teresa is drawn to the health benefits of yoga.

Teresa began her yoga journey over 13 years ago. She became a certified Raja Yoga teacher in December 2011 and founded Tranquility Yoga Studio in Elgin to spread the health benefits of yoga to the community

Teresa teaches beginner and intermediate Raja yoga.  With her background in the medical field Teresa’s classes are focused on safety and proper body mechanics. Her classes include relaxation, meditation, breath work and asana (poses).
