Meet Rosen Gavino PT, DPT, CSCS:
Dr. Rosen Gavino is a graduate of Midwestern University, located in Downers Grove, IL. He was part of the inaugural class at Midwestern University to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He also acquired a CSCS to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists enabling him to work with local elite high school, college athletes and professional athletes ranging from mixed martial artists to baseball players. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, he attended Valparaiso University where he played Division 1 baseball and was also a student athletic trainer. He later transferred to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology along with minors in Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy. He is a product of Oakbrook Terrace, IL and attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. At Willowbrook High School, he was a 2-year varsity baseball starter. Dr. Gavino continues to play amateur baseball to this day.
Ross has practiced therapy mostly in the outpatient orthopedic setting. He has also seen patients in the home setting in order for the patient to transition to outpatient therapy. He has a background in sports medicine and occupational health. He is certified to provide FCEs (Functional Capacity Evaluations.) He prides himself on providing hands on manual care and providing treatment plans that can return the patient to the things they love.
